• Deliberation N.º1/GC/2009 –  approves the proposed budget allocation for the year two thousand and nine presented by the Rectory of the University of Madeira.
  

• Deliberation N.º2/GC/2009 – approves the Services Organization submitted by the Rectory of the University of Madeira.

• Deliberation N.º3/GC/2009 – approves the proposal of the names of the two Presidents of both College of the Polytechnic and the University of the Knowledge Society and its programs, presented by the Rectory of the University of Madeira and accepted by the President of the General Council.

• Deliberation N.º4/GC/2009 – approves to mandate of the Rector of the University of Madeira to send the MSTHE the proposition of students vacancies for the academic year of 2009/2010.

• Deliberation N.º5/GC/2009 – approves the proposed procedure for the establishment of Innovation Institutes presented by the Rectory of the University of Madeira.

• Deliberation N.º6/GC/2009 – approves the pre-proposal to create the Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute presented by the Rectory of the University of Madeira and mandates the Rector to lead the negotiations and prepare the documents to be submitted to the General Council.

• Deliberation N.º7/GC/2009 –  approves the proposal for supervising the students elections the Vice-Rector Ms.Sandra Mendonça PhD, submitted by the Rectory of the University of Madeira.

• Deliberation N.º8/GC/2009 – approves, considering the provisions of Article eighty-one of the Statutes of the University of Madeira, mandating the Rector to:                                                                                                 
                                               * Approve the Distribution of Educational Services;
                                               * Develop the Academic Calendar, two thousand and nine/two thousand and ten;
                                               * Create the Student's Office;
                                               * Pursue the process of creating a Master in Clinical Psychology;
                                               * Continue the process of evaluating the non-teaching staff under the new SIADAP legislation number sixty-six Bof
                                                  28th December two thousand and seven.

• Deliberation N.º9/GC/2009 – approves the proposal to establish permanent committees of the General Council with specific areas of work, each led by an external member of the General Council, proposed by its President.
