The main competences of the President of the General Council are reflected in Article 19th of the Statutes of UMa:
1 - The President:
a) convene and chair meetings;
b) exercise the casting vote;
c) declare or check the vacancies in the General Council and make the appropriate substitutions in accordance with this Statute.
2 - The President shall not interfere with the exercise of powers of other organs of the institution, not fitting
him to represent it or speak on their behalf.
